River Torrens Linear Park Trail, Torrensville Between Hayward Avenue and Jervois Street (access via River Torrens Linear Trail only).
As part of our commitment to providing quality parks and open spaces for the whole community, we are planning to develop an enclosed off-leash dog park along River Torrens Linear Park.
A concept has been designed to ensure the dog park is an attractive and inviting place for pets and their owners whilst also respecting the natural surroundings where it is located.
The concept includes:
a larger enclosed area for medium to large dogs with agility equipment
a separate smaller enclosed area for small dogs
natural rummaging areas for both spaces
drinking fountains and pet drinking stations
bins with dog bag dispensers
shelter and seating in both spaces
continuation of the natural setting with complementary plant and material selections
a combination of existing colorbond and new 2.1m black PVC coated chain mesh fencing.
To ensure the dog park meets the needs of its users, we are now seeking community input into the design by completing the feedback form.
Post Feedback for both proposals can be submitted by completing the downloadable feedback form or preparing a written submission and mailing to: 'Torrensville dog park submission' City of West Torrens 165 Sir Donald Bradman Drive Hilton 5033
