About the Community Plan

The Community Plan describes Council's vision for West Torrens, and sets the direction for how Council will serve and invest in our community.

Priorities identified in the Community Plan go on to be reflected in Council's budgets and business and management plans, and the Community Plan also demonstrates how Council meets it's obligations under the Local Government Act 1999.

During 2024 the Community Plan will be updated to ensure that it aligns with our community's values and aspirations, and takes in to account the emerging trends that will impact our city in years ahead.

The current 'Community Plan 2030' can be found on Council's website, and this summary describes work completed or in progress towards the vision - 'Committed to being the best place to live, work and enjoy life'.

Have your say in the future of our city

A successful Community Plan will reflect the priorities of our community; the individuals and families that call West Torrens home, as well as those who visit for work, study, or leisure.

Sharing your views and preferences will help shape Council's priorities for the next 10 years as we strive to make West Torrens the best place to live, work, and enjoy life.
