What's happening?

The playground at Florence Avenue Reserve, Netley is due for replacement. We are seeking community feedback to help decide between 2 new playground options. To have your say submit the online form on this page before 11 May 2025.

Each year, a number of playgrounds in West Torrens are replaced and upgraded in line with Council's Recreation and Open Space Asset Management Plan. The schedule of upgrades - which playgrounds, when, and what type of improvements - is decided based on the the age and condition of existing equipment, and use of the playground and surrounding reserve.

Florence Street Reserve

Florence Street Reserve is a local reserve located between Florence Street and Elsie Street, Netley.

The planned upgrade will involve installing new play equipment within the boundary of the existing playground area. The existing shade sail at the playground will be replaced under both options.

Two options have been developed for Florence Street Reserve. To accommodate safety guidelines that require specific fall zones for play equipment, each of these options is 'standalone' - equipment cannot be 'mixed and matched' between the options.
