Between now and Monday 14 October 2024 Council is inviting community feedback on a draft lease and licence agreement with Glenlea Tennis Club over facilities at 20 Ferguson Street, Novar Gardens. The facilities are part of the Council-owned
Camden Oval complex.
Glenlea Tennis Club currently utilises 8 tennis courts along with a clubrooms building at 20 Ferguson Avenue. These facilities
are used by the Club's competitive and social tennis teams year-round.
Council is proposing the Club's continued use of the facilities under a formal agreement for:
- Lease of 6 tennis courts and the clubrooms for a period of 10 years, with the option to extend for a further 10 years, and
- Licence agreement over 2 courts. The licence agreement automatically ends at the same time as the Lease ends.
Under the proposed agreement, the Club will continue to operate as usual, and the responsibilities of Council and the Club
are clearly defined.
