What's happening?

The play equipment at Poplar Street Reserve, West Beach is due for replacement. We are seeking community feedback to help decide the types of new play equipment to be installed. To have your say submit the online form on this page before 23 March 2026.

Each year, a number of playgrounds in West Torrens are replaced and upgraded in line with Council's Recreation and Open Space Asset Management Plan. The schedule of upgrades - which playgrounds, when, and what type of improvements - is decided based on the the age and condition of existing equipment, and use of the playground and surrounding reserve.

Poplar Street Reserve is located on Poplar Street, West Beach, adjacent West Beach Primary School.

The new play equipment will be installed within the boundary of the existing playground area, and the equipment materials and layout will consider both safety and maintenance requirements. The equipment selected will be height limited in consideration of the location among residences.
