Richmond Oval Grandstand and Changeroom Building

What's happening?

Council is proposing structural upgrades of the B.K. Faehse Grandstand at Richmond Oval, along with construction of a new changeroom building.

In recent years council has explored opportunities to redevelop the broader Richmond Oval Precinct through a masterplan that includes grandstand works and a range of other site improvements for community benefit.

Delivery of the masterplan has always been contingent on securing sufficient external financial support, through either the State and/or Federal governments. As this funding has not been forthcoming or secured, council has resolved to proceed with essential structural renewal works to the grandstand and the development of new standalone changeroom facilities, to be funded through an existing allocation in council's current budget.
